After the drama of yesterday's electrical storms and turbulent skies and a day spent entirely indoors, it was a relief indeed this morning, to reach out for some Atlantic therapy. The beach was near deserted, the clouds were contorting and dispersing into the most beautiful shapes, the air fresh and the water warm and welcoming.
I was also rewarded with some Underfoot treasure; the petrified bird - delicate and beautiful. The security tape - bright and bold. The fat, ugly, white plastic container - home to a family of moluscs, but even more interesting than that was the solitary red onion nestled into the sand just above the shoreline. I mean it's not the weirdest object I've ever found, but it's kind of weird. A red onion on the beach. I like it, anyway.
